No matter how large or small your kitchen is, there just never seems to be enough space for all the stuff, right? Never fear, there is an organization solution for kitchens of any size. This one, which belongs to a family with three young kids, is a common example of a kitchen overtaken by too much stuff.
Removing everything from the cabinets and drawers was the first step in the right direction. Deciding which items truly served a valuable purpose was the most challenging, yet important, part of the process. Good rule of thumb- If it takes more than a few seconds to make a decision or you can’t remember the last time you used a specific item, that’s a pretty good indicator that it no longer serves a purpose in your home. If something is only adding to the chaos, donate it or trash it. Now you’re probably saying, “but I need my junk drawer!” I completely agree that a junk drawer (not drawerS) is a necessary part of any kitchen. But who ever said they couldn’t be organized, too?
